I think my brain might be too mushy to write a reasonable description here but I'll give it a shot.

This is my second entry for :iconsaimain: 's contest. It devoured my brain for about four weeks. >.> In addition, scanning it and patching the pieces together finished off what little gray matter I had left. It's not perfect but it'll do for web viewing at any rate. Yar. I need a bigger scanner...

The characters are (left to right) Julian, Kris and Sali, three of the characters from Not All Kings Wear Gold. Despite someone's (who shall remain nameless...) comment that this is another 'meaningless painting,' there *is* in fact a concept behind it. Basically it's the contrast between Sali's light and carefree personality, his angelic appearance and innocence contrasted to Julian and Kris's somewhat darker personas.

I don't think many other people on Shafta would be comfortable hanging out with a vampire and werewolf...

Julian and Kris belong to Kelly.
Sali belongs to Adele.

Where Angels Fear to Tread by *eshkenazi. I love this drawing because of the huge amount of detail, the skillful use of watercolours - which I think are really hard to use, and her style of art in general. (Suggested by =Shiaine and Featured by $chix0r)

This literally left me speechless for a long, long time! Afterwards I made such a commotion, my mother came and looked! She likes the way it flows and was very impressed!


Anyways, BEAUTIFUL colors, gorgeous backround and wonderful job with the characters. I am truely blown away by the whole thing!!!
I love the clouds as well, and how its day but Julian is allright because of the overcast sky :)

WONDERFUL job, I cannot tell you how much I love this peice!

Actually...it's...night. >.> I don't know it doesn't really look dark enough to be night but it is. We'll just pretend there's a lot of light being reflected around because of the water and clouds. (There are also two moons though only one is visible). ^_^

Thanks for commenting! Your comment made me smile. I needed that since someone...else (*coughmyhusbandcough*)...didn't seem impressed by it.
